Was going to put this post on the warm water board, but thought more people are now monitoring this board. By the way how many of you would like to see just a Saginaw Bay and connecting rivers board? God knows theres enough sub-titled boards on this site, but I really think we could use one. Keep that same board for all seasons. Anyway, I'd like to see one.
I made a scouting run to the Titt. yesterday. Found the conditions to be an 8 on the 1 to 10 scale. Was actually bumbed out that I didn't bring my boat yesterday. Decide to make a few calls and got 2 charters lined up for today and tomorrow. Wulp, the conditions were still O.K. this morning, even though the CFPS had doubled. Wasn't even baited myself when the one client yells "Fish On". A real nice 8 pounder. 10 minutes later another nice fish of about 4 pounds hits this guys jig head. 30 minutes later I noticed the current had picked upconsiderably. Looked upstream and a wall of white was heading our way. And these were serious ice flo's. The waters were opened, and God smited Pharo's army. And so to were we smited from fishing in comfort any longer. Oh we tried. But the magnitude of the debris and the thickness of the ice flo's made fishing a nightmare. Then when we seen a full grown Oak headed towards us, we all agreed it was time to leave. The guys ended up letting the 2 walleyes we caught go before we got back to the ramp. One don't eat fish, the other don't clean them. Felt good to get out, and I'm canceling tomorrow unless something changes current wise. :fish2:
