Just bought the Yukon fishtrap. I was wondering if any of you had any tips or suggestions as far as :pulling, towing, buckets, tackle, storage, carpeted floor, etc. All tips tricks and meathods. Also I thought I saw on this site a picture of a carpeted plywood setup for inside the sled for holding bucket, poles, heater, etc. If you have pic's please post them. All the flip-over style shanty's are welcome.

If your pulling your shanty behind a machine, you might want to invest in the towing bars. Also the runners they sell for the bottom, will help make the sled last longer. I used a old pair of snow skis for runners for my voyager.

Use the "search" option this site offers. You'll find lots of stuff in the archives here.
For the runners on the bottom I'd suggest using the hy-fax matieral used in the slider type suspensions of snowmobiles. If you go to a place that sells them you can find some for older/obsolete sleds very cheap!
Zip tie two, three or four plastic milk crates together to sit inside and hold your stuff. They work great for holding stuff from falling over and if tied together makes it more stable!

There was just a thread that went by within the last couple of days with a link about shanty modifications, I couldn't believe it didn't get more attention, I think it was www.mattjohnsonoutdoors.com
there were some really cool upgrades they did, not sure if I'd try 'em but they did look cool. One thing about upgrades you gotta watch out for is the added weight.

This is the one I really like, for flip-overs with no floor.

Only problem I see is the wood getting warped from being on the ice for a while.
