These were sold out eveywhere I went (Franks, both Jays, Gander) and on back order. Did anyone manage to get a pair and how do you like them? I think they run thirty bucks.

I got a pair had to get them Knutsons in brooklyn. They are waterproof and easy to fish with. But they won't keep your hands warm in sub zero.I'd say they will be great from 10 and up.I froze my hands off 2 week on brest bay sub zero wind chills.I got thehttp://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/data/500/S2400393.JPG (http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=36177&cat=500&page=1) suit and it keeps you nice warm even in the coldest days.

I tried on a pair at Franks before they sold out. Pretty nice, but I've got good gloves. No use wasting money. My mom picked up a pair from Jay's shortly thereafter. I tried them on tonight in the garage. Nice again. I'll give them a full workout in the surf tomorrow. If I can cast spoons with them, I might buy a pair anyways.

I saw this elsewhere. Lots of guys saying they didn't like them and that they weren't really waterproof. Figured I'd post this to save some of you the grief.

when we went to buy are's we asked the salesman at Knutsons about how waterproof they were.He let us take a pair and stick them in the tanks.Never got wet and they still haven't got wet i even played with the kids in the wet snow for hours one day and nice and dry.The outerlayer of the gloves gets heavier but haven't leaked.

Got a pair for Christmas. Used them the last 2 days on Cook's Bay at Simcoe. Monday the wind was blowing 20-25 and I'm on a bucket. Was out about 5 hours and the gloves got stiff from the water off my fish and lines but they didn't leak. My hands didn't get real cold but I still prefer large open cuff mittens so I can just slide my hand into them or shake them off if I need my bare hand to retie, untangle or unhook a fish. The velcro cuffs require you to use both hands to put them on or take them off. Tuesday caught lots of fish, temperature started out at 22 F. My right glove that I use to hold the fish while unhooking them got heavy and wet on the outside but still didn't leak. ( I'm left handed)
The mittens I've used for years are the rubber covered fleece lined ones that you can get at Cabela's for around $15.00. I buy a new pair at the end of the season every year whne they are on sale for $6 -$8. When it's real cold I use a pair of U.S. military surplus wool glove liners inside them. I may cut off the Velcro and use the Ice Armor inside the mittens on very cold days.

I bought a pair of gloves at Orvis that claimed to be waterproof. They're not but I like them anyway. Soft, supple and thin enough that you can feel a bite, take out a hook, maybe even retie a jig but I haven't tried that yet.

If you look in my Fish Trap Pro, I probably have ten pairs of gloves in there. Different conditions, different gloves.
