I've never been much of an ice fisherman, but hope to do more this year. I was wondering if any of you guys target Gull for pike? I've set a few tip ups here and there with sporadic success at best. Any tips you can share? I live on the lake and do quite a bit of warm weather fishing there, so I'm very familiar with locations and depths.

Hey Lodge - I grew up near Gull and caught alot of tip up pike there but it's been 10 years since I've fished it. Friends of mine had a spearing shack on the bay last year and they did o.k. but not great. Back when I was fishing it hard, all the tip up guys fished out in front of the Bible Conference or the Hogs Back in front of the country club. Bible Conference is where I fished most. I think it was about 30 foot of water. There would be 20 or 30 tip ups out there on most occasions and always some nice pike iced. That's where I would start if I were you.

Stick it out. It's still probably the best lake in the area to catch a 20#'er.
