Just wondering what everyone got for Christmas? Personally my dad got me a bucket rack for the back of the quad and the girlfriend got me a $350 (no wonder I love her) gift card to Gander Mountain. So anyways, how did everyone else make out?

Well, my parents got me a medium sized chest freezer, one of those dandy Coleman heaters for ice fishin'. I think they were in cahoots with the old guy in the red suit with the white ZZ Top beard, cause he brought me a Shappell Rover 2.0 and a Vex FL-18 to go along with the heater.

But the best of all was getting to go thru a couple of hundred slides from the '50's and '60's of my Grandma and Grandpa, who founded a major sporting goods store here in west Mi in the late fifties that's still in operation. I never got to meet Grandpa, but man seeing all of those deer camp pics and the huge rainbows and I think even some steelhead, lakers, walleye...I feel such a connection now and understand why I am the way I am. I never used to think it, but now I'm quite convinced that things like the compulsion to just HAVE to fish and/or hunt has got to be passed down in the genes. I just wish that my ex-girlfriend could've seen them at this time last year and maybe she would've been able to understand!! :bash:

All I can say guys, is take pictures and take LOTS of them. Someday after you or I are long gone, somebody may look at those pics and think they've been handed a chest full of treasure.

All I can say is that it's been a wonderful Christmas. Probably the best I've ever had.
