Finally went out for a couple hours today.More ice checking than fishing ,but did set a tip-up and tried for gills.
No dice. No flags,one hit and nothing on the ice.
It was my neighborhood lake,that usually isn't great anyway.
The good news was,so far we've still got 5-6 inches of ice :) There were a few thin spots(2 spud),but overall pretty decent.
I'm hoping they're wrong and it stays cold...I need to try out some new gear :D
