I have my dads ithica model 37 featherlight 20 ga. and its not working properly. He has carried this gun for many, many years and the last couple yrs. it doesnt always pick up another shell when he racks an empty shell out. I found that the forearm (or pump) seems to be loose. And the screw is stripped out on the removeable piece above the pump under the threaded cap. Anyways I am wondering who or where around grand rapids do you guys recomend taking it to to be fixed. Both I and my dad will be very thankful.

Look up Bachelder guns, I had them do work on a Win 101 and knew they were fairy competent. I have been there once, but would need directions since its been a couple years...

Smokepole you sure want to get that shotgun fixed. you cant beat the ithica 37. I have used the same gun in 12 ga (deer slayer) for 25 years and have never had a problem what a wonderful weapon. Also carried the same weapon in the marines, used to hang the m16 from my back, cant beat a slug gun up close.
