There is a "pond" on ida Center West(i believe its west)that has a fence running thru the middle of it!
Its just east of Wells Rd. and has alot of small gills but fun for the kids...and me.
I asked and recieved permission to fish the WHOLE thing but new guy bought neighboring acreage and run a fence down the middle and along the road access. Ive tried asking DNR and Monroe county sheriffs about this but no response. My son took his buddy there today and guy with fenced area told them to get off pond even tho they were on other side. I went up there and he would not open his gated drive for me to ask him why he chased them off.
Yes my son carries written permission from other land owner but he did right by just leaving. I am one to find out why and how can this guy chase anyone off?
IF ANYONE GETS AN ANSWER......PLEASE enjoy!!!
last year a group of men from Ann Arbor had their children or grandchildren out there and it was great watching them catch all those lil gills!
I personally have never kept any but if someone is looking for alot of bobber thumping, its alot of fun .
PLEASE just keep trash with you.

From the Dundee Independent this week, the whole pond is now off limits. The half that was previously not posted is now posted and law enforcement will be called for trespassers. The previous owners who were somewhat lenient sold the property to a new family who decided that people walking through their yard at all times of the day and night, litter being left behind, being ignored when they asked people to leave, threatened by individuals who did not believe they were the property owners, the final straw was when they awoke one morning to some tents and a campfire on their lawn. They posted the entire pond and may even fence the remaining portion as well.

I have not fished there in many years but knew of many who did and always managed to catch something. Many times I saw entire families fishing there as it was a good spot to teach youngsters how to fish as something was bound to be caught. But I cannot blame the property owners either as it sounds that they have tried to be foregiving but just got tired of the BS some people gave them.
