Late squirrel hunt

Finally got some squirells to stay out of the holes, for three weeks we have been treeing squirells but with the snow an cold they been hard to get. Today we got three fox squirells out of eight. Sure has been tough this year. How is the snow in Manistee thinking of trying there monday? Sorry no pic. I like to clean them as I get them, hide seem to get a little tough late season an they skin easier fresh.

Looks like that little dog has come along well Floyd. Snow in Manistee shouldn't be to bad. It's been melting off like crazy the past couple of days. We had 18" on the ground and it's down to about 6" now. This thaw has brought the squirrels out around here. Buddy treed 17 yesterday morning and I shot 5 out.

Jeff,I think I'm coming up as far Manistee, in the mornig to try the national forest south of town. Have'nt had a good year, first the leaves did'nt fall till late an then all the snow, so this break in the weather is nice. I thought that buddy would turn out to be a good dog, I don't have the white one I had when I came up to hunt with you, she turned out to be a biter an thought best to put her down, I've been hunting a river run from Don Corrnel, he's four a doing good for me.

I had a bunch of greys all over me when I was yote hunting in Stalwart this weekend. Made me angry knowing I didn't have the .22 handy.
