Anyone in K-zoo?

I am from the Sterling Heights area, but I go to school at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. I have known all the good spots around here since I have been a kid, but I need some info on the kalamazoo area. I am most interested in Perch fishing, but I also would like to start pulling Walleyes out of the ice. Any info on doing this in Kalamazoo or surrounding areas would be greatly appreciated.

You picked two of this areas weakest species to target! lol The only place I know they do get some walleye are up on Gun in Barry Co. Never fished it so don't know how consistent they are. You can catch some perch in most of the lakes in and around Kazoo but nothing big. We go up north when we want some perch.

If I had to try the Kazoo area for some nice perch, I would try LaFever Lake out by Climax. I've caught some nice perch there through the ice and it's rumore there are some really good ones in there if you can find them. Good luck.
