Started out the day at independance from 8-10 with one missed pike on a slammer and a few gills were pulled out around us. We switched to North lake and got there around 11:00. Got set up and the fishing was slow so I put out a jigging Rap tipped with a minnow. Within 5 minutes of that I had a huge hit on my UL Bad Dog rod and pulled up a 25 in pike. The pic is in my gallery. After that the gills and perch were hitting off and on but no keepers. Independance ice was about 6 inches as was North, but north had a little half frozen slush on top.

Good luck, Steve

Nice pike and thanks for the report. I plan on getting out on North real soon.

The pike had eggs in it. Is there any easy way to cure them? Or can I just freeze them in the little package they conveniently come in?I'd be using them soon so they wont have to last years.

thx, steve

If you search the site there are number of previous threads on curing eggs. Here's one:
