I bought some trilene 2lb micro ice and I was wondering if there is that much different from the 2lb to the 1lb. I tend to set the hook a little too hard sometimes so i decided to try the 2lb. I am fishing for gills, crappie, and perch if that is needed info. Also in about 10 f/o/w.

I've always used 2# and have caught fish. This year, I'm trying 1# to see if it's worth the trouble. I've heard it works better.

I used the Trilene ice ONCE and decided it was too soft for me!
I have used the yellow Stren 2# for years and I am using Yo-Zuri Hybrid for eYes currently with decent results.
For one poud I use McCoy Mean Green , it's not too soft.

I hope this helps you .....

MSU Ice ...P-Line seems to be popular but I have NOT tried the Yo-Zuri X-tra Soft... I got the regular Hybrid B/C of it's abrasion resistant sheath... the stuff's pretty stiff actually!
Good for toothy critters...
I think I'll try that P-Line in the spring....
BUT for the small diameter stuff...
McCoy Mean Green works great.

Vanish Transition seems to do the trick for me. I used to have Yo-zuri on a few of my fishin' poles, can't seem to find it anymore,,,,,,,,,wonder where they make that?
