Help: estimated value of gun??

I guess I could drive to K'zoo to On Target to get an estimate, but I thought I'd try here first.

I have a new in the box Howa Interarms 1500 Sportsman .30-06, that has never been shot. I purchased it when our last local gun shop was going out of business several years ago. I wipe it down every year with a gun cleaning rag and put it back in the box. It was built in Japan in the same factory Weatherbys were built in for a few years, so the stock looks a lot like one of the W's and is pretty wood. The gun has not marks on it as it has always been in its box and stored flat inside our home.

Do any of you have a gun book that might give it approximate value? Or could you hazard a guess for me?

I think I want to sell it and use the money to buy another barrel for my T/C.

Thanks all. I will try the web sites, but I will have to wait until I get home as our filters and fire walls here at work prohibit me from getting on anything with hunter firendly wording in it. Dumb, right?!
