We fished Miller Marina Saturday. Between the 3 of us we must of caught 150 Perch. We didn't keep any. All small, between 4 and 6 inches. We moved several times but couldn't find any bigger Perch. I ran into Mushy1 and he had a few keepers.
Sunday we went to Crocker Launch and tried to get into Beacon Cove. I broke thru at the Harbor mouth. Ice was good until I got there. We did see two guys make it in there. I was surprized to see them go in even though you could see where I broke thru. I hope they made it out OK.

Good meeting you mark, I ended up with about 20 or so, nothing over 9 and mostly 8's with a few swallowed trebled 7"s....My buddy stayed till the bitter end, we took off around 3:00...dont know how he did, been busy chasing my future fishing partner around all day sunday....cant wait to get him out there, then again, there is still time before i want to remove a hook from my EYE.
With all this cold weather, we should be fishing the lake soon....I know people have been, but still a little early with that snow fall and all....That slushy crap freaks me out....especially first time out...

I got out for the first time this year in the same vicinity around Millers.. thought it was going to be dink city all morning, but pulled in 4 keepers around 8". The bigger perch cam on minnows and green anise ball (sp?). Even got into a few sunnies (if I knew how to clean the sunnies, could have kept them and the perch and had a small tasty meal) Only had till 10am to fish so let em swim another day... My buddy showed up and we tried a move but didnt produce anything.. anyhow excellent to be out... Ice was great, I seem to enjoy my first ice better without all the cracking music out there!

Yeah, I seen you walking out. I was going to call you on the radio but by the time I got the radio out of my pocket you were half way to your truck. Next time we'll meet. I won't be out untill after the holidays. I hope to spend this weekend rigging my Christmas present from my wife. That wonderful women bought me a Quad this year. I can retire my old snowmobile. I guess it will be nice to have the snowmobile as a backup for when the snow gets to deep for quads.
