Stuff I learned this weekend

Take a look at all the stuff I learned on this weekends fishing trip:

#1 Always pack underwear and socks first!!!
#2 the "last cast" always takes at least 20 minutes!!!
#3 bug spray attracts bugs!!!
#4 a king salmon can take 50 yards of drag
in like two seconds!!!
#5 Life expectancy of a horsefly: a
few days?? Life expectancy of a horsefly buzzing around inside your tent: ten years!!!
#6 velcro gravel guards suck!!!! they fall off too easily!
#7 "Up North" towns close at dark!!!
#8 fishing was always better yesterday!
#9 If you see a nice fish rising that means that there is a canoer coming!!!
#10 campground bathrooms smell really really bad and there is never any toliet paper when you need it!!!
#11 no matter how much stuff went wrong on your last trip, you can't wait to do it all again!!! :)

The "nice"Family that is in the campsite next to yours turns into drunk and loud a** holes at 1:30 in the morning!

After walking all the way back to the fishing site you realize your crawlers have melted into a pile of STINK.
AND the bait store is closed along with the gas station, plus your on "E"
The the battery is dead and you told nobody where your at.
Then you realize it's the night you promised to take her to the movies

Trout, your comment about smelly worms brought back memories from earlier this year.
I think it was a easter night.I went smelt dipping and did quite well! I had a lot to drink while netting and I just shoved my waders in a bag and didn't hang them up.
Then I went steelheading a couple of days later and it got pretty warm out, that's when I noticed the smell!!!!!! at first I thought it was my bottle of spawn so I threw it out . the smell got worse then I took my vest off and did a full out search.....I didn't find anything! then after about an hour I took my bottle of pop out of my front pouch and found three decaying smelt! I almost puked!!!
Believe it or not but my waders still have a fishy aroma!
