Well I got out there around 8:30, and fished until 4. I finally got my limit. It was steady, with lots of dinks. I caught them on mousse's and waxxies. Ice was about 6 inches.
Oh yah, I also caught a nice bass and released it.
I need to start taking the camera out with meeee...........:bash:
CO's came out and wrote a few tickets for no licenses, so make sure you have one when your out on the ice:yikes:

I was out there Saturday with a buddy we both got out limit too. I saw some little kid plucking out the crappie but I couldnt figure them out caught lots of sunnies though. I talked to the DNR and asked if they were getting any perch anywhere and he said he had been all along the lake and there were nothing but dinks being caught.

Went out behind the Raft Friday and today. On Friday I got my fish in the bay and ended up with 11 gills and 17 perch in 3 hours. Not sure where the perch came from.
Today I got my fish in the first canal and took 17 gills, 4 crappie and 2 perch in 3-1/2 hours. Won't get out again for at least a week and a half. Hope to get on some perch then.

Sunday PM was a difficult fish at the Raft. Plenty of gills/sunnies there, but they had lockjaw today...Only got 12 keepers this afternoon, and threw back 5-6 low-end keepers. Very few limits taken, even Ed Stringer's limit was consisted of lower-end keepers...Did more BS'ing out there as the afternoon wore on as Ficious, Fasteight, Yellowbelly80, and Salmonslammer were also in attendance...Enjoyed chatting w/ everyone today, it certainly made the lack of catching a little more bearable with that 10-15 MPH wind today...Nice meeting ya Salmonslammer...Just don't fish with Yellowbelly too much, you gotta stay away from those ice floes... :D

Fished Fairhaven access this afternoon. Looking at the Raft it looked like a small city of shanties in the distance. Tried to call thr illustrious MR. Stringer on the radio but someone chimed in that he was on radio silence due to his aging memory. Forgot the radio ! :tsk: First keeper perch of the year went on the ice and as I was setting up the rod a seagull flew in and snatched the critter. I was robbed ! :yikes: Can't turn your back on anything anymore. ;) Well after that it was all down hill ........all dinks. Was a nice afternoon on the ice and a great looking sunset to boot.

i was there today in the canals behind the raft and some one left 14 little gills on the ice to die, people complain that the fish are small well how are they supposed to get big if you dont throw them back in, and next to them was a empty captins morgans bottle, so i can just about guess what kind of person was fishing there. that really got to me

I've noticed quite a few up in that area laying on the ice.....Really PO's me that some people are still that ignorant  Bunch of mullets anyways..
Didn't put any in the bucket today, but it was still nice to get out and shoot the breeze with everyone. Thanks for the jig fictous...I'm going to go put that in front of some perch this week and see how they like it!!
Just don't fish with Yellowbelly too much, you gotta stay away from those ice floes...
It's the other way around...I'm usully the :evilsmile one!! All I know is that if I cross any cracks at last ice this year I'm dragging my yak with me.....That and the non emergecy # for the MCSD!!!

I was there as well sitting next to Ed. The fish were pretty tight lipped but I left at 1:15 with 25 nice gills/sunnies. Caught a couple crappie as well but those went back in the hole.
