Single Selective Trigger!

HAHAHA, man I can tell I am new to this entire O/U world. Well today I was looking at one, and see...When I saw the barrel selector I thought that it went like this. You choose which barrel you want to fire, and once you fire that barrel, it was necessary to push it to the OTHER barrel in order to fire. I found out today that it just decides which barrel goes first, Then all that is necessary to do it pull the trigger again! This is a big deal for me, it makes so much more sense. Well um....are they all like that, or do some of them actually require you to change the barrel on every shot?

Every one I have ever seen is as you mentioned.

They're all like that unless you get one with double triggers. Then they act as the trigger selection mechanism. Are you thinking of buying an O/U?

I actually might be getting one from the girlfriend for christmas, and I was wondering how the whole trigger selection went. thanks for the reply
