I've fished Dale Hollow a time or two, very good lake for hog smallies. You just have to hit it at the right time of year. I frequent a newsgroup (Rec. Outdoors Fishing Bass, great site for info) in which a couple handfuls of the members get together for a "tournament" twice a year. Guys, and gals, come from all over the U.S. to meet and greet and have fun. It's usually Tenn. for the Spring and Wis. for the fall. Anyway, we've fished Dale hollow and had a great time, I for one brought a monster smallie to the boat only to have it pop off. Local I was fishing with as a partner said it would have gone 8 - 8 1/2 lbs. I've fished other times and have always had good luck. Secret Weapon Spinner baits and a local Fluke knock-off worked best, white if you had them.

Dale hollow resivor beautiful lake and great fishing spot but tought to fish because of the clear water.Great trout fishing on the river that feeds into and exits the lake.trout, small mouth and other types of bass there along with many other species. This a 2 story resivor with both cold and warm water species.I lived about 2 hours away from there at one time as recently as about 4 years ago.I wouldnt mind going to back to fish the place again someday.keeping the subject on tract 21 + girth all I can say is WOW
