9 Mile Dink invasion...

fished a canal down around 9 Mile yesterday from noon till dark

Big time Deja Vu

out of 50 or so, the biggest streched the tape at a whopping 7"

red hook, GID bead and minnows/minnow heads

ice was a solid 6", visibility was 2', water looked like Squirt

bought a micro fillet knife on the way home yesterday to get ready for the rest of the year...gonna lower my minimum size from 7" to 6" and have perch fingers

mmm...I love a perch finger on top of a french fry, dipped in malt vinegar.

New to the area at 9 mile and have been driving around trying to find a spot to walk out on the ice without climbing a fence or invading private property! Can you tell me a trick? Thanks.:help:

goto the end of nine mile rd. park is for residents but i dont' think theres a guard during the winter.. not sure yet... if you live in st. clair shores you can for sure.

theres also some marinas i think will let you but you may have to pay up...
