Ok, Darla is a bit yanked outa shape. I sugested the dates and she does not agree with a few of them, as we filled in the other weekends with a few pro- events. Seems like our summer just got booked full!
Here it goes...
April 1st, Brown blast. A blow date has been schelduled for April 15th. both are a Sat. We cn go to a Sunday if Caz & I can get together on this.
First League event April 29th
May 27th, yes I know it is Memorial weekend but we are still going to hold it.
June 10 Lake Erie Sterling State Park. We will give details out soon so reservations can be made at the park
July 8th St. Joe
Aug 5th St. joe
Sept 16th St. Joe
We are thinking about adding July 22nd as another date. Time will tell.
Start putting these on the calender, get the discussions with the better half over with now, or invite her!!
Spanky, we would like to have you publish these in the Battle creek steelheader and invite any member to attend. We had several last year and would welcome any and all.
These are open events. Just post up on the the website that you are going to fish and you are in..... 20.00 a boat, a level head (to take all the practical jokes) and you are in! Your 20.00 includes a BBQ for you and your crew and great memories to take home. Trust us, we will show you great time. Just ask anyone who has fish one of these.
Mark & Steve
... with all these dates... I think we are GUARANTEED for a couple more chapters in the book titled: "Life with Steve Arend" !!!! :D
Thanks Mark... they are down on the calendar!!!
We are going to have a perch outing this year... aren't we? ;) :D

Don,
Steve & I talked about a perch outing. I purposely left the 22 of july open and we are thinking about doing that that day. A full day of yanking perch, playing party barge, a few swims and a weigh-in on the water. Would be a nice treat to us die-hard trollers.
But..... better sense got ahold of us and we are thinking about doing another double, 1/2 time trolling, 1/2 time yanking perch. So, We will do something in July, just not quite sure how to schedule the event. We are working on it and will make it happen.
Dan, If you buy that, I want to run the controls for at least 10 mins. right up next to Capt. Hook! Can't promise you would get it back though.

Wec ould put that thing on "mega-troll" mode, put down its 2 ft outriggers complete with razor tips, and troll back and forth between, Sliverding, and Captain Crook!
I will post those dates, or get with Todd about it, Our Jan meeting includes our elections, and our Feb meeting usually takes on the schedule for the year. I already see some conflicts on a date or two, But I will know more in Feb. Our club has 13 annual events/tourneys, and it keeps my calendar pretty full. Glad to see the Erie outing is still on the dockett, and I am happy about the Troll/Jerk combo tourney! I can do pretty good in those 2 events, I have a tough time in the others though! ;)
Don P. has been a great host/captain, when I get a chance to get aboard his boat, and he has also been a great ass et, when it comes to mating on mine! I would imagine we will be working together again this season to give some type of competition to these great events.
Now all we have to do is get through this winter! ;)

At 5k a pop I don't think it's likely you'll see me with one of those. Could you imagine hooking into a 25 lb. king and watch it swim away with your toy?:yikes:
Looking forward to a fun season next year.

Steve and Mark,
We had a great time at our first event this fall and will make every event possible this coming year. Thanks for posting the dates, I will take these dates into consideration when setting our club dates next year.

I was talking with Steve yesterday, and the subject of Kris and Chris came up, and he said that they moved back. Are we gonna have events back at the farm too, or has that been sold. I like having the events there and at Steves, But I can't help but believe that is alot of work for connie. I know Steve is trying to wear her out so she will go to sleep before he goes to bed.!
I am sure I speak for most, if not all of us when I say" thanks" to Steve/Connie and to Kris/Chris for letting us into their homes/yards for these events. I know it takes alot of work to entertain guests, make sure their needs are met, and then to clean-up afterwards.
I am planning on getting my calendar together this weekend

Probably be looking for riders for most of the events I make. 2-3 depending on whether the girlie friend wants to come.
Sometimes the Dirty Laundry/Tgafish Team does well, sometimes we don't. But the cocktails are usually flowin and good times are always had on board. The Captain occasionally has a meltdown when fish are knocked off so be prepared to take a razzing. But all is forgotten over cold ones at the fire pit on Sat. night:lol:
Counting the days!!!
.... is the Lake Erie outing still going to be June 10th? The reason I ask is (and this is where I am going to get some BS from y'all)... I am going to be making a campsite reservation for that weekend. You see... I have this "imaginary" girlfriend... who has this "make believe" 32' camper... and I got the ok from her that she does want to camp over there during that weekend.
That being said... I have never camped at Sterling State Park. My question to you guys is... what are the better campsites?... and where do I want to stay away from? And what campsite is everyone else making their reservations at?
Thanks for all the help.
OK... you guys can "cut loose" on me now... I can take it!!
By the way... when you guys eventually  do see the camper... you will be quite impressed!!

I'd stay AWAY from Steve Arends campsite! Who knows, you just might end up in the "Life with Steve" Biography....coming soon to a store near you!
On another note, I will be making this one also, and am interested in what y'all have to say on the campsite locations. I'm not sure if i'm bringing my boat or playing hitchhiker. I could bring my camper in trade for a boat ride.

There have been reports of a new camper sighting!!! :yikes:
I just got site #115 for June 8, 9, and 10... and this is the "imaginary camper" that will be on that site....
OH!!!... and by the way.... that 32' camper trailer that was mentioned in a previous post in this thread has "morphed" into a 35' fifth wheel camper... with 4... count 'em... 4 slideouts!!

You must mean "morped into a 35' HOUSE ON WHEELS!!!!!" :)
Okay, Don...what ya gonna pull that with?? A SEMI!!!!!!!!!!
Does it come with rod-holders so we can fish out of it in Manistee off the bank? Since we got such nice campsites right on the river this year, we may not even have to take the boat out to get our limit of kings!!!
... Do you think this thing will do the job in pulling that 5th wheeler around?? :D

I hope Don doesn't mind...but is this what we're after on Lake Erie???

probably the neighbors, or someone off the road he seen on the way home from fishing last week. The truck probably is one from the marina where he fishes. I am suprised he didn't scrape up a pic of the fabled"girlfriend" from Girlnextdoor.com!:D :evilsmile

Well I just returned from a work trip with the camper I got last winter. The first trip out with the ole wench. Looks like It needs some front brake pads and as of Plymouth Indiana a fuel pump too. At least it pumped from one tank to get me in.... Perhaps I should switch from an RV site to a tent site.

Don...come Manistee you better buy your own trailer and fly some chick in from Russia:lol:
J/K man, stuff happens.
So are we still a go for a league event scheduled for July...give a chance for everyone to get planned for it. If not a league event, maybe an "organized fun fish" for all who could attend-could fish for big boys and/or bait (perch)?
