Although I didn't see a ton of deer this year, I was fortunate to connect with both bow and gun (5 point with bow, Doe with gun). Deer activity seemed down from last year as far as the amount of sightings, rubs & scraps. I'll be going this weekend to see if the cooler weather helps. Unfortunatly all the crops in the area I hunt in the thumb are down. I just hope Wally Hanger will pass through the wood lot I'm in.

Voted no but should have waited till muzzleloading before voting because I plan on harvesting one during muzzleloading. Had the opportunity during the day and a half of hunting but passed during firearm season.

Yep, it is a bit premature. Thats why the title is (SEMI) Final Tally. I just figured that it will be very close to the final results when all is said and done. I hope we get 1000's of responses. So EVERYONE vote now so we can get a representative sample of success rate thru the regular firearms season. We can do a (FINAL) Final Tally some time next year? <----<<<

L & O, I got to hunt a lot this year, but there is not as many deer here as past years. I only saw a few bucks. All of which were in the bow season and were about 10yds to far.

My buddy videoed me shooting a good 8 pt. (15" sp. 205 f/d) with my bow.It's the best deer Iv'e killed and I get to watch me takeing it for years to come!

I did not vote, but will later. I'll start hunting again in the late rifle season. I've got a special conditions report for my area. I will wait until the end of the season to give more accurate details.

Ditto Shooter921. More than 5 shots just out of bow range. Seemed every time I moved they changed lanes keeping a few steps away. I stayed patient and have not taken the shots though. Have not seen a deer since firearm in 2 times out. :eek:
