Portage was 80% covered today at noon with only the middle left to go it should be fishable by thursday

Crystal takes forever due to the warm water springs in the mid lake it will be a while before you want to go there

Portage Lake is iced over and making ice all day and night. It should be good to go anytime now.

Crystal Lake, being a deep, glacial body of water, takes a long time to freeze over. It is completely open now.

Where do you live Flame??

Lyle, There's a couple of lake south of Kazoo that I fished as a kid, back when the Dino's walk the earth. Then there is Gull Lake east of ya on M-89 toward Battle Creek. My memory ain't as good as it use to be. The best thing you can do is get a county road map and it will show you all the lakes and ponds in your area. And it will also show ya the P/A's. Never get that way anymore cause I've got 2 lake within walking distance of my house, Van Auken and Rush Lakes in V/B County. Good luck and welcome to Southwest Michigan.
