View Full Version : Kalamazoo area
I've been used to fishing lk st clr my whole life and I've recently moved to the southwest side of the state. I'm wondering where some of the small good lakes are around here to hit up soon as this ice decides to be thick enough. Any advice or a few new fishing buddies would be appreciated!

Gun Lake and the surrounding lakes in the Yankee Springs SGA are not too far to the north of you. Stop in at Gilletes on the south side of Gun Lake and they can usually put you on the hot bite.

I fished school section lake several times last year and had some luck on that lake. gun lake is a good lake you can even catch some walleyes out of it. school section is off m-43 west of kalamazoo. d&r sports can give you some good info on were the bite is they see a lot of fisherman come in and out of thier store. hoping to get out some place this weekend. ill keep you updated fishinrick:fish:
