I love the #14 red/white combo ant for 'gills followed by red/gold moon-glow glitter jig. Alot of guys like black jigs, bet I never have luck with them. :fish:

I'm not sure if I'll ever fish with a jig for gills again. Ice flies are the #1 baits hands down in my eyes, but if it has to be a regular jig I would have to say a purple dot rocker.

For gills mini moon #14 orange and chartuse, and depending on the bite if I'll use a fly. Perch the list is to long to even start, but I guess the upside down squid on a Eddie Davis jig will get the job done.

Doesn't matter for me just as long as it involves one of the following for Perch on LSC, silver, gold, or any kind of glow that can be charged up, preferably red glow.;)

The purple moon glow tear drops work very well for me on some of the lakes I fish for crappie. A black and yellow tear drop works great too.

Old reliable,, chartreuse with a orange or red dot. On LSC, I'm getttin' kinda fond of the Forage Minnows.

My standard "go to" colors for Gills are Chartruese/Orange, Chartreuse/Green combos. Followed closely by my back-ups - Orange or Green/White.

My favorite is hot pink rocker, in 12 or 14. My progression is hot pink - purple - chartreuse - white. After that, I either flip a coin or go home.

Chartruse with orange dot, or sweedish pimple with green prism tape. Purple with whie dot on overcast days.

Really depends on the lake that I'm fishing. My go to is some sort of black. Gold comes in second with green/chart. in third. One lake I fish in Barry Co. pink is a must! Tight lines all............

Small Forrage Minnows work well tipped with perch minnow. Specially silver color.

Last year I did very well for gills with a white/glow #12 genz bug and orange-white/glow chartruese-white/glow #12or#14 moons, with red dot and sparkles. These few baits worked so well actually I did not have to change them.

I like the really small all yellow (white maybe) glow jobs with the little red eye.

All colors seem to have their moments for hot bites, but when all else fails I also tend to fall back on an orange/chartreuse glow combo to grind out a catch...

A few years ago I found a real small teardrop that was black with purple glitter. They came in packages of 2 and those 2 are the only ones that I own. I have never seen them after that day i bought it. I'm sure this would be very easy to make for all of you guys who do this it was probably a size 14 maybe even 16.
Usually while ice fishing i run a two jig combo on my poles. The thing is with this jig, it only works when it is the top hook. One day I had one pole that had this jig on the top hook and then while fishing with another pole the same jig was on the bottom hook. I neve caught a fish while it was the bottom hook. It must get some different kind of action being up a little higher.
Other than that, anything glow is usually what I use

Is what use 95 per cent of the time with a spike on it but on LSC I put a wiggler on it and do very well. Its good for deep water too as it is weighted and don't need sinkers.I also tie the loop knot too which I think adds to my catch.

Anything that glows works well for me. If they don't bite that i switched to a tiny jig that is white with black dots. It is prolly a size 18 or smaller.
