Hi, please i need help, just got back from store, wich one to buy,
FL18 $399 or FL8 pro pack$349, and what is the best transducer angle(degree) for ice fishing, CAN i use them in boat ,
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Well If you have the money go with the fl18, if not go with the 8. As far as transducer, check out this website .Yes you can use them in a boat.

I would choose the FL18 if price is not an issue. The zoom feature is really nice in deeper water. Detail is very good.

Last year I bought the 18 for $400. The 8 was $300. After a seasons worth of use, I wish I would have save the $100 and bought the 8. I mostly fish in < 30 FOW for panfish, so the zoom doesn't do much for me. Either way you will wonder how you ever fished without one. I cannot imagine hitting the ice without mine.

I have used the zoom in 15 FOW and it does great. You can see a minnow come in.
