I'll be heading out this week, possibly Thursday if I can make it. It may have to be on Friday but its definitely happening on Saturday. I will probably head to Stoney Lake off of Pink Street. Its between Wamplers Lake and Vineyard Lake in Brooklyn. If anyone is interested in meeting me let me know. The fishing can be pretty good on that lake with nice size gills and crappies with a few perch mixed in. If I can get out during the week I will still fish on Saturday. Saturday's schedule will be from 1-2 until past dark to try the new underwater light that I have.

I always use mousies out there and seem to do well. Minnows can help a little but if the specks are hitting then mousies work just as well but I will take them just in case. I'll have brown camo bibs, a blue and black down coat and a fur mad bombers hat on. I also have a grey shappel shanty. Look me up if you go out there. I'll be driving a white 92 ext cab chevy silverado.

Reddhead, you are the second person who has told me about that lake. I met a guy out on Sand Lake a couple of years ago who told me about that lake. I gave him a bunch of minnows as I was leaving and he gave me the heads up about it. If you don't mind another person out there I would be up for some fishing on Sat. what time are you going to be heading out?

I'll be there around 1-2 pm. Just park on the side of the road away from the lake. I'll bring a few beverages.

Does the lake have a public launch? If not where would you get on the ice?

Park on the side of the road across from the lake. I don't think that it is actually public access per se but actually the road commissions right of way. It is directly on Pink Street. I personally love fishing the lake because it is very accessible and if the fishing stinks there are plenty of other places to fish within 5 minutes of there. Plus Knutson's is just up the road and on the way and they have great prices on bait and lures.

Unfortunately I will not be able to fish on Sat. Forgot this is my weekend with my daughter so I'll probably be sitting in a theater on Sat afternoon watching "The Chronicles of Narnia", wishing like hell I was fishing! Good luck to all who make it out there this weekend and above all BE SAFE!
Hopefully the ice situation will be improving all week and I'll be out next weekend (17th and 18th).
