Since im going to school up here at NMU, i brought up all my icefishing gear. I was farting around on Harlow Lake but didn't get anything. The map on the DNR site wouldn't load and I searched this site and got a few tips on what fish are there and a lure to use but I was wondering if someone could direct me to a spot on the lake that may produce a fish or two. Pike or gills
If you can help me out and shoot me a PM that would be great.
Thanks - John L. :fish:

went out sat the 14th. It was a parking lot out there, tip-ups everywhere and people everywhere? got on the ice around noon caught 2 gills in the first few minutes then some perch dinks then caught 3 more gills and lost a pike then I left at 3 pm with my 5 gills. There were a good amount of flags up and small pike coming up.
a good 8-9" of ice, around the shore its soft, one guy put a leg through

You picked the wrong day to go.
I was out there as well, but there was a tournament out there. Thats why so many people were there. Usually, if you see three different groups on a weekend it is a lot.
That tournament had all the local bait shops, including Gander Mountain sold out of pike suckers. There was an estimated 100 people out there with snowmobiles buzzing around all over the place. Try this weekend and you will have much better luck.
BTW...how big were the gills?
