Anyone know if you can take the bottom/ carpet... what ever they call it.. off/out of this shanty?

Looks just like the Ameristep DogHouse I use for deer and turkey hunting, there is no floor in mine.

I dunno.. i looks like that htere is a black tarp for a flor with a hole or two in it to me. Looks like that is what is extending outside it

A buddy of mine has one of those. I don't believe it has a floor of any type, if there was he took it out. What you see extending from the base is to pile snow on to help to anchor it down in place.
It doesn't work too well in the wind, or when there is no snow on the ice to pile up. Then you have to use ice shavings from augering and it freezes and sticks on there. Then it's a pain when you try to put it back in the bag. The canvas is pretty thin and prone to tears. It sure beats sitting on a bucket any day though, and is easy to haul out.
