I have been looking at the 2-man flip over shanties and I see that many of them have under 6 feet of head room. I have never had a shelter and am accustomed to fishing standing up or at least periodically standing to get my butt off the bucket.
Do you find the low ceiling to be a problem?

The yukon has atleast 6' of head room. Just a thought.

I have a yukon also. I'm 5'11" or so, head room does'nt seem to be a problem.

What the heck is headroom?
My head brushes the top when I'm sitting down.

I have a FishTrap Pro. When flipped over completely, no You can't stand up - but do have plenty of room for hook sets. When I get restless and need to stretch, it takes a nano second to flip it up into "wind break" mode. Plus with the confortable seat, it reduces "bucket butt" . Hope this helps - Bob

Thanks guys. Your responses help. The 6 foot tall Yukon would be plenty high for me. I was thinking they were around 5 feet. But I see that would be the Pro or the Guide.
This has probably been answered before, but does the Yukon at 107 lbs pull easy enough by hand if I am only going half a mile or so? Same question for the Otter Medium Cabin at 93 lbs and the Otter Lodge at 122 lbs. Are they too heavy?
Thanks very much for indulging.

Actually it pulls fairly easy. Gets a Little hearder in the snow. If you buy one you'll probably want to buy a longer rope, because they one they supply is short.

It gets tough to pull when there is 6 or more inch of snow. I'm going to wax the bottom and try that.

Instead of wax, try ArmorAll. Slickery as greased vasoline on the bottom of a Trap. Bob

The Yukon is best pulled with a machine. Once you load your gear in it, and you Power auger, that 107 turns into 170 or more real fast. On Ice its easy, on ground or snow, its a pain in the keister. I sold mine for that very reason, its a great unit, just too darned heavy to pull by hand in any snow.
Getting the Pro for now, and will get a Yukon again once I get a machine to pull it with.

I have 2 Otters, and not being able to stand up all the way is the only bad thing I can say about 'em.
