Adapter Kit for 20lb propane tank

Last year out on the Ice I saw a couple of guys who had converted the 18-20lb propane tanks to fit their colman lanterns, and heaters. I've looked all over, RV stores, Meijers, camping stores etc but cannot find them. anybody know where I can get such an aparatus?

Sure be cheaper filling one of those than buying the little 1lb bottles.

I use a five foot propane extension hose with a five lb tank. Ordered the hose from Northern tool when I purchased the Mr buddy heater. I think Bass Pro carries the hose. Tim

Anybody have a lead on a Y??

I have 2 shapells and I want to put the tank outside and run a line in through either end when they are butted together.

I picked one up(Y) from Jays a few years ago. Seems like I have seen them around here, just can't remember where.

Try Van Dyke gas on 33 mile and Powell in Romeo.

Wal-Mart and Gander Moutian have "Y" adapters and hose kits. Gander Moutian even had a 11lb re-fillable propane tank you could buy.

I knew I had seen them on the Ice, but the places I was looking were trying to tell me that would be ilegal, unsafe ect... People that don't fish worry me sometimes....

also, I have had good luck just checking with the "gas man". A couple years ago, I wanted a custom hose built and he made it for me for $8. Something to check into if you have a "mom & pop" gas (propane) distributor.

Last weekend, a salesman at gander told me to go to Lowes to get the smaller tanks...cheaper. I never made it there, so I don't know if they really have them.

You can go on E-bay also under propane and find fittings and hoses!

i work at a gas supply shop can git anything u wish, adapters, Y , hoses as long as u wish pm if u need something, work in detroit

5' & 8' hoses to fit 20lb to heater can be found at most Meijers. I also bougt a "connection tree" a lantern screws on th etop (if you want) and it has two connections for hoses.
I used this set-up in the U.P. at duck camp and love it! used the lantern every night and ran a two burner stove and ran a muddy heater each night and did this for 4 days. Still had a 1/4 tank left (20lber).
Man, I save the money compared to 1 lbers!!!
