I was lucky enough to take a seven and a six on opening morning (both pretty decent) and my brother took a jumbo spike (second buck ever).
Out of four hunters for 4 full days, we saw 6 deer while hunting (4 bucks).
This brings the total of deer seen (during hunting) in three years on our property to approximately 20, with 7 bucks taken.

Congrats Erik! Guess you couldn't wait for the snow, eh? So'd you spend the rest of the week shoveling?
Way to go!

Kenny,
I was hanging them up as the snow started. We got about 12-16" depending on when you measured. Real wet heavy stuff. We were up all Tue. night pushing snow from the tent roof. Saturday night we had those winds (60 mph+). All in all a true test for the old tent. My dad and uncle had never seen "real" weather come off the lake. I stepped outside the tent Tue night about 8:30 and told them we were going to get a decent amount of snow. My dad's exact words "It's got to snow a lot harder than that to get any accumulation." I asked him at 3:00 that morning as we were pushing the tent roof up so it didn't collapse, if this counted as real accumulation or not...
My bro shot his in the snow though. He is inside a cedar swamp so he only had about 3" on the ground in there.
Got some cool pics of me with my bucks and him with his the next day in the same spot and it looks totally different.
Gotta Love It!!
