back from tawas

went to tawas 15, 16,and 17. 15th. weather not to bad. no fish, not to many fishermen. tried to fish tuesday nite, only one out their, could not even get line in water wind was so bad. wednesday morning, windy and rainy, water conditions not bad for white fish, no fish caught or seen caught. tried wednesday nite, high winds and rain, did not bother. thursday morning, wind down, conditions look good on east side pier. saw about 10 fish caught, two guys having five of them, me, nothing. headed home, 160 mile trip. as i post this in lexington, looking out the window, the wind is down it is overcast and it looks like a perfect day for tawas whitefish. the fish seem to be coming in, so good luck to all who venture out on the peir, i'll be heading back monday or tuesday, i'm hoping the weather holds and my luck is a little better. LOVE THOSE FISH.

i was there on the tawas dock wedsday from 130-430pm. wind blowing at 20 plus miles. the two of us got 2 for 4 hook-ups. fished the east part of the dock that was doin the best. some got non others got 4-5 fish. waxies an bare hooks seemed to be what they want yesterday. long rods an smaller sized floats seemed to be better also. lots of ice on the walk way from splashing waves.

Had a riot averaged about 8/9 fish a day . just a ton of fun .It just doesn't get any better than that.
