I need some help here. I have a muzzy zero effect on a hoyt bow and every now and then my arrow vane seems to hit the rest. Any input or help here would be nice. I would like to keep the rest, just adjust if I have to. Thanks for any help ahead of time. I shoot the Carbon express CX Edge 350 arrows, with a 100 gr, 4-blade muzzy.

I also shot a Hoyt with a zero effect rest. I have had no problems with mine, but 2 years ago my buddy had the same problem you are having. We messed around with the rest for a full day before we found his problem. His nock had sliped upward causing the flecthings to his the rest. We reset the nock and all was good. Might want to get the easy stuff first before messing with the rest.

My brother in law had the same problem with his hoyt. We found that the are that slides on the cable guard was to tite at the "elbow" We losened it and it helped.

He shoots a Trophy Taker now though

Its a rest that attaches to the cable guard on your bow. when you draw back it slides down the guard and raises the rest up. when you release it pushes it down and outta the way. go to www.badtothebone.com to see more about the zero effect.

I am a proud owner of a new Hoyt cam & 1/2 X-Tech bow (my 3rd Hoyt) and I switched to a Muzzy Zero Effect rest on my first bow and never looked back..Since then I have converted 4 other shooters to this rest. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying there arent any other good rests out there but this rest has never let me down. The nice thing about this rest is the "extras" I received at my local bow shop (Schupbachs in Jackson) Brian Schupbach goes the extra mile with his installations of this rest, He made a channel for the arrow to sit in line on my riser and wrapped the arrow stay in fuzzy stuff so there is NO noise from this thing from draw to shot... I will try to get a picture so you can see what he did. My favorite feature is the LONG arrow stay which allows you to tilt your bow any which way with NO DANGER of the arrow falling from the rest, It becomes a non issue.. I wish I had a dollar for every time I see people fumbling around trying to get their arrow on their rests...It's almost comical. One shot from mine and they are believers. Try one, You will not be disappointed..:D

One of the great things about this rest is my feathers from the arrows that I bought last year, still look brand new. I have had some of the noise issues but I think it is because of my camo gold tips. I may take my next one to Brian and have him set me up.
