Flourocarbon...I have been hearing this buzz word around for the last two seasons. A fishing buddy of mine started using it this year and he is doing better than me when when the sun is out. He claims that it is the line, however when I put his 6lb and my 6lb under water I can see them both equally.
Has anyone else tried Flouro.? If so has it increased your catch enough to justify the extra money?
Thanks
~Rick

WEEZER is that fly tippet or the mono line you are talking about?

I would probably be using the Flouro for the tippet and the last section of the leader, however my buddy is a spin fisher that uses it for the leader(Stuff after the swivel).
Just wanted to get a general idea before I sink more money into my equipment.

Also brand names would be helpful!

I use floro for everything from tippets to Deep saltwater jigging. Swear by it. It real big advantage's are that it sinks quik, less stretch, and is highly abrasion resistaint. I fish alot of deep clear lakes for line shy trout and I noticed a difference on the first trip. Easily double the hits, More hits = More fish
PS - stick with Seaguar, they've lead the feild on this one and are still making the best, use Seaguar Carbon Pro for tippets, walleye leaders and rigs, use their 100% floro (just called Florocarbon, no brand name.) for big toothy fish

Yes that's the brand that my buddy uses. I was going to try Berkly Vanish just because it is cheap!
