You can take classes at the Michigan fly fishing club. We meet at Cleranceville Middle School on Middlebelt, just north of seven-mile road. Meetings are held every first and third Wednesdays of the month. The first Wednesday is devoted to a guest speaker, and the third Wednesday, we break up into groups that teach, fly tying, rod building, and casting. Visitors are welcome, and we always have a lot of fun so come check it out.

Man, That sounds like a pretty nice club to be a member of! It's a long way for me to drive but who knows, I have some free time during the summer.

I meant for my previous post to go in with the post on fly tying, sorry. but anyways, We have members that come from as far as brighton and lansing. and once there was a man that came from muskegon.
Our club also puts on the Midwest fly fishing show. Don't be afraid to show up and see what its all about.
