Our new and improved fly library is going up as I write this note. Take a look at it http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/fly_pictures/bettymcnault.htm Many thanks to WEEZER from our forums for his massive infusion of new flys to get us going. I hope the library will keep growing at this rate.

WEEZER please let me know if you find any errors or discrepancies on those flies especially on whether they are to be weighted or not. I kind of guessed on a few of them in this respect.

It looks really well!! I should have sent a little nicer looking Hares Ear but other than that I like it.
One important note: I should have given credit to Ray Schmidt as being the originator of the madonna. At least I think he was the originator it may have been Kelly Gallop as well, I'm not totally sure.
Everyone please send in some flies so we can do this thing up right!! I'll be sending more as the steelhead run wears down and I have time! I can't tie dry flies very well so you'll be seing a lot of nymphs and streamers.

Ok, WEEZER I gave credit to Ray Schmidt for the Madonna. The Hares Ear turned out ok, but I am still getting the photographic technique worked out. I may have perfected it with the Rusty's Spinner. Check it out, I have just added it.

More flies to come. The Rockworm wont show up for some reason? What about the egg leach that I sent? Thats a sweet fly. Very nice on the photography also.

There is something wrong with the Rockworm and I will check into it tonight...its a real sweet picture too. The egg leech is on the same page as the one WEEZER sent in. Thought I could group them both on one page.

Ok, thanks a lot. I'll send that article soon, the only problem will be pictures. I have to find a scanner somewhere...

Great flies! I have only seen your egg leech on the water one time. It was on the Ausable last April! Maybe the guy using them was you?(Loomis Spin rod, nice Filson leather hat)
Steve I would have made two seperated pages for the egg leeches! They are similar but the recipe is way different and it is kinda hard to follow. (Just a suggestion, I don't know how much room you have on your server)
Anybody have any suggestions for future additions to the library? I will have a pheasant tail nymph, a rattlesnake, hopefully a Hex spinner and dun, and a couple of new steelhead patterns(If they past my test next week on the river.).
Off to a good start!!

I never have fished the Au Sable and I sure dont fish Loomis. I'm Sage for life. I like to add some lead eyes to this leach pattern. The rabbit strips have good movement in the water and the fly is real durable. I have two other variations I tie that I will send in soon.
