went to winterize the heat seeker today. best way i thought of was to keep my son out of school(he had a test anyway and he got all A's again .cards came yesterday reward) and launch on union lake ,oakland county. we trolled a bit for walleye but my second battery was dead so no fishfinder. tough to troll an inland lake with no depth. decided to go shallow for gills. found them across from the launch in 8-18 feet.big ones too. they hit wax worms with abandon. fished from 10-3 and caught a bunch. water was very clear and could see some gills, bass and crappies.fogged the motor on the way in.used the electric to get the last 20 yards . the docks are not in so launching is a bit of a chore but not too bad.boat is put away for the season and what a great way to end it.come on ice.
