I noticed quite a good number of dandylions blooming in my yard today (12-3-01). Also a few flowers were stilling looking ok in my wife's flower garden. October, November were certainly rather mild and now December is starting out the same way...I love it.
I just saw on the news that November was the second warmest on record for the Detroit area.

I certainly hope not Kirk, these mild winters will the prevent a good ice cover on the lakes. The ice really slows down evaporation from the lakes, and we need all the water we can get out there.

My petunias in the flower box on the deck are still blooming. And the pansy's just love this weather.

Saw a whole field of mustard up and ready to bloom today on my way to Muskegon! last week a couple of the lilacs sprouted some new leaves!

We had a rose that bloomed about a week or so ago. I sure hope this weather doesn't stick around much longer. I so look forward to winter weather every year. My snowshoes are just collecting dust:(
If the dandelions bloom now does that mean they won't bloom again in the spring?

Sounds like you all are having a warm one this year.
The weather here has been really nice. We expected our first cold front this weekend when the night temps fall into the 50's, but that even stalled.
I saw an article today that dealt with global warming on Mars. It seems that the red planet has melting polar ice caps.
Wonder if the Martian radicals are pointing fingers at Big Oil or SUV owners or co2 spewing factories.
Dumb post but I thought it was interesting that Mars has warming problems with no visible cause except that the sun might be getting a little more intense,
