What do you guys think of the new Hoyt Selena. We will probably be getting my wife a new bow this coming year and I just saw this on the website.
She is 5'7" and 125 lbs. She will probably get 40# peak (maybe 50 but no more) with about a 26.5# - 27" draw length. She also wants a target color, but I'll have to see how much extra money that is :yikes:  !

My stepfather shoots a Hoyt SierraTec cam n half at 39# I am super impressed with the velocity and power that such a lightweight package produces....plenty of oomph! The Selena is a newer version of the SierraTec. I doubt you can go wrong as long as she likes it!

That will be the hard part... finding a left hand 40# in stock at a pro shop

i totally lucked out on finding mine, i'm LH as well. i've got the hoyt ultraelite, shoots right through the riser, and my baby blue is one pretty princess. i spent about 2 weeks target practicing with it then the boys decided it was time to take me out hunting... the second time out i took a doe. so i have nothing to complain about, it's a great bow! it tends to get a bit heavy after target practicing for extended periods of time, to which the selena looks to be much lighter... but when you're looking a deer straight in the eyes it's a totally different story.
i like mine. haven't shot anything else, and don't plan on it.
and it's blue :chillin:
spend the extra cash on the color and make her smile.
