Launched at Blossom Heath and fished in 8 feet of water in front of the Coast Guard Station. Must have gone through a couple hundred perch. I kept 18 that were 9" or over. My BIL ended up with 45, all sizes. He also had what I assume was a musky that grabbed ahold of his hooked perch and didn't want to let go. Finally did after a minute or so. Little excitement to spice up the perchin'.

What a day Mike, had to dress down to a T-shirt it got so warm.
Right in front of the Coast Gaurd Staion, not even a foot ball field of length into the lake, .005 gallons of gas in my boat.
We, caught I would Guess 180 perch kept 80 (8-10 inch) between two guys
Started fishing around 8:00am stopped at 4:30pm. Seemed like none stop action all day.
I actually pulled the lines in so that I could eat a sandwich.
Thanks for the tip Mike, I would have ended up there, but it was my planned last stop if the other spots didn't produce.
We sat and watched the mud line come in, it evenually ended coming in and the visability was probably about 5 feet.

Felt like 80 degrees didn't it? I was sitting there with nylon/spandex running pants under my levis. Started to get a little uncomfortable after awhile. I didn't want to get arrested for public nudity, sitting as we were in front of the Coast Guard's window, so I "toughed" it out and kept my pants on. :yikes:

Thanks for not getting Naked Mike, I sure would have hated to leave fish to get away from the naked man.

It was a great day M & M but me and o'l Dann09 win the prize for using the most gas while covering most of the entire lake area.....22gal vs. your .005 and 60+ miles vs. your .01 mi. We started at the firecracker..weather bouy..basset...back to the f.c. the channel...st. clair light...400 club nine mile and stopped to visit you at 10 mile then off to the north end by metro,... middle channel and ended up east of the clinton river, great day not much fish, lots of mud

I seen the boats there but went by GPYC and same non stop action. Caught a ton of little ones, but did manage some keepers. It is only getting better. tightlinesyall

Nice job on the :fish: Mike. I'm sure you know it's killin me, but it's no sweat I'll make up for it when hard water sets in.

ED S. Don't you change your zip code to the lake saint clair area When the ice fishing is on. I have no doubt you'll make up for lost fishing time when the ice forms.

Hey Dusty and Mike, I heard you guys on the radio yesterday and tried to say Hi but I have a small antenna and I was way up off selfridge. I wanted to know if there were any ducks down off the mile roads. I was duck hunting until it got to 80 degrees and no wind. election day and nice weather and there were a ton of guys out yesterday. glad you found some yellow bellies...andy

Mike and Eric,
Had a ball yesterday. We limited out after catching over 250 perch. We ran out of minnows after about 90 and I went into my ice fishing gear and brought out my small rod with a small jig and a brown speckled tube. After I put 11 into the box within 10 minutes my brother in law and old work pal were going through all my tackle boxes until they could find some 1" tubes. We finished our 3 limits with artificials. Nice meeting you Eric and thanks for the tip. I hope to be back up there on Sunday and Monday if the weather permits.
