Has anyone heard of a fly called "Yellow Bear Bug"? Apparently it is tied on 1/16 to 1/8 oz jigs. A good Steelhead fly. I was given the reciepe to tie one, and was wondering if anyone has used it. Another fly is the "RENEGADE". What is it and how is it tied?

I think there is a dry Renegade and a wet one as well. It's sorta like the pheasant tail nymph and the Pheasant-tail parachuete.
The Bear bug fly sounds like a headache to me! Lots of hangups and foul hooked fish!

Actually the yellow bear bug is fished with a float or bobber. Your right though, it does sound like alot of trouble. I have yet to tie one. Waiting on a model of one from the guy who gave me the recipe.
