There are a lof of lakes in Oakland county - some are pretty big and deep, but very few have discussed them. I guess either these lakes produce no fish or people just keep the secrets for themselves.

The DNR fishing stocking database shows that the DNR has stocked not only just walleye and panfish in these lakes.

I am going to explore some of these lakes this winter and find what kinds of fish I can catch.

This site should be a good place to share information....I'm going to be hitting several Oakland Cty. Lakes this winter, too.....hopefully, it will be a productive season! Stay in touch!

search the archives, most oakland county lakes have been discussed at one time or another. some of the more 'all sports' lakes get little pressure during the summer, so not much is written, but when the pleasure crowd puts away their toys they all get fished strong!

Hmm I forget is Union Lake in Oakland? Anywho if it is great action through the ice somedays there from Perch and Gills to Pike and Smallie's. My personal biggest smallie was caught there on a tip up and it was 6.15lb. a great smallie but I was hoping for pike. I've heard though I don't know if it's true that there are some brown trout in that lake. If so I've never seen them. Walleye can also be had using jigging rap's in blue tiger and genz worm with waxworms on them. Good luck too you.

alot of the lakes recieve more pressure than people think. They've been fished hard, and the fish are smart.
