Roscommon hunting

Is anyone hunting in this area for the gun season and has a doe tag. I havent been able to get one for two years and was told i need to get it in july before there all gone. If you have one how early did you have to buy it?

I sent into the lottery and got chosen for a doe permit. Picked it up in september and then got one of the left over unchosen permits over the counter. Usually shot at leat a doe every year. Love the meat! Where you hunt in roscommon?

I hunt on all that state land in st helen which seems likes its getting crowded and being cut.

I only received 2 public land permits in 7 years. I did not try for any over the counter anterless for this county this year. I have a private land anterless for Otsego Co.
I hunt Roscommon Co. every year for archery season then go to the family tradition hunting cabin east of Vanderbilt. I spend the first 2-3 days there and head back to hunt Roscommon .
