Got a late start saturday, didn't start fishing till about 12:30. Our first spot in about 7-8 fow, we got about 5 jumbos right away, but, then it slowed so we moved shallower. Nothing but dinks. Made about 4 more moves that consumed a couple wasted hours, because nothing but dinks. Moved back to around out first spot, but a foot shallower, slayed them, but, only had a bit over an hour to fish, so, came home with 3 dozen, and one 15" eye. Only a few under 9, most over 9.5, i would say half were 10+, with 3 11+, one monster 13 incher, also lost a hawg 13+ at the boat. Using spreaders and "ghetto rig" with shiners. Was the perfect day to go fishing, no wind, 65, overcast. Will probably head back out Tuesday if the wind dies down.

thinking about heading out Tuesday. never fished the river for perch. Wondering if it will be to muddy on the lower end. Any tips as where to go will be helpful, can you use slip floats like the lake or is there too much current. For what it is worth the guys at bottom line said that guys are going out and the river is just alittle murkey? Weather should be nice hopefully the fish will be to.

Celeron, the shallows around the island, but, i bet the flats will produce too.

The ghetto rig is this rig my bro came up with because he was sucking. It is just a free-gliding sinker with a single hook, he got about 6 jumbo's that way.

BTW, will have pictures tommarrow.

I thought he meant a spreader with 4 crawlers on one hook and 4 minnows on the other.

I used a carolina rig today with the free sliding sinker and it did ok as my back up rod, we were off 400 club in 12 ft you need to find the clean water inside the mudline ended up with 30.
