Well, I lauched at 6:30 in the morning at Wyandotte, steve wasnt even there yet.....couldnt sleep i was dreaming of the tug of Walter when it hits the jig...been since spring since i jigged...Anyway tried the spot steve told me they were catching limits, 3 drifts and nothing not even a hit...Saw a guy catch 1 and lost 1....I thinking to myself, what am i doing wrong, and i concluded that the fish they caught where just lucky ones.....Just to make myself feel better.. After 3 drifts by the front of the boat ramp i left to fish the salt mines over in Canada....Nothing......Went up to the bridge, to a spot i always catch fish.....Nothing.....Talked to HotWired, he said he had 8 or 9 up by the sand piles, all most ran there, but i knew i was low on gas and didnt know if anyone would be open for business up there....glad i did, on the way back, just as i pulled in to the mudd island channel, it started to spudder.
So i fished that run one more time, and caught a sheep.....The only fish all morning....First skunk in a while :gaga: Should have fished the Upper or for Perch...

Well, you did better than me. I stayed home because I thought I was smarter than most and that the lake would be too muddy. Only to read the good reports and pics of limit catches. :( :bonk: :banghead3

I went fishing fri. morning and listened to steve and he was right, but the bite isnt starting until 10 am. I fished the same place as you but when they turned on, we had 2 limits at 12:15. Just stick with that spot cause they are there. I got mine on white jigs with a chartruse worm. good luck

I fished till Noon on Sat. thinking the front was going to turn them fish on, but it never happened....I read the post that someone left, and said the same thing you did about them turning on at 10:00, but it just never happened....Oh well maybe next time....when it takes a week for the water to clear from the high winds...
