Fished the Muskegon on Friday for a couple of hours down from Thornapple. I was suprised to find quite a few salmon still doing their thing. I fished spawn for steelhead. . . no takers. I did end up with one nice lake run Brown of about 7lbs. Water is VERY clear and low.

Last time I fished it was I think last week in Sept. The salmon were just coming up and I got a 24in. LR Brown on a F5 Sivler Rapala and a 22in.Steelhead on that same lure. Lots of people catching trout on spawn too.

I'd call that a good day anytime.

Oh your not kidding. I was up there for 3 days and with that #5 Silver floating rapala and an 1/8oz. bullshot 16in. away from it casting I had meny trout aournd 10-12 inch both bows and browns as well as the steelhead and LR brown but I also had a three foot northern follow my rapala to shore and bite my line, thats right took one of my prized baits. Then about two minutes later It's floating down stream and I got in the water and follwed it and got it back.
