Sat. evening delphine

I was hoping the winds would stay down long enough to get a couple of limits but it did not....when we left they were bitting good but could not control the boat much.....played it save and went in.....missed 4 right at the boat and still landed four.....smallest around 16-17in. biggest around 5 lbs......had fun out there with Big Laker....we had a few mis ques but a few laughs.....a couple of lost leaders and a wire fried from my float charger that got pinched in a seat! :lol:

Sorry to hear about all the trouble at St.Jeans....was hoping to get a good night fishing in with Shadow and his Hitchhiker (mike the Elder)......Maybe we can Hook up one of these weeknights or next weekend???

Here is a thought....if you have 2 -people....have one drop you off at st.jeans with the boat....after you launch...he drive the vehicle to the Marina I am at...parks there ...walks out and you pick him up at the dock!! Its right at the delphine anyways!! Might be a thought!

Launch at alter, just go out the long way. I have never lanuched at St. Jean in 25 years of launching small boats down there...

I launched at Alter last Saturday and found broken window glass in the parking lot. Talked to the old timers down at the party shop and was told they are breaking into cars at Alter also.

I think next year I will start fishing the lower river or at least launching there.

Wouldn't it be nice if they could put in a key card gate (10 ft.)...where if you did not have a pre paid card....you could not get in!!......couldn't imagine that would be more than a gaurd there !! that way the area would be a little more secure!

I posted that at 3pm...at 4pm a friend of mine and went on a high wind low water car tour down around alter and he told me story of three break ins at Alter road. We actually counted three seperate piles of window glass. So...I know several landowners over on Klenk, we are going to launch at alter and them take our cars over to klenk, atleast on the street over there I think they are safer. I still have atleast 5 duck hunts out of there before the ice up..andy
