That's crazy :dizzy: . I guess I'll get things done around the house Sunday.

It's a good chance to check out how the boat top will stay on for the winter.

On a good note. The wife and I went down to the boat (already pulled out and dry docked) We Had to winterize the engine'(s) , fresh water, raw water, empty the boat and put on the winter cover. We started at 1230 pm and drove away happy at 2 pm. It went way to smooth. :D

The dawn came late and the breakfast had to wait
When the gales of November came slashing
When afternoon came it was freezing rain
In the face of a hurricane West Wind

In honor of the crew of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Only a duck hunter would consider going out in this. :p The worst part is will probably be a good day for them although it's a bit too warm. Be careful and wear a pfd.

well i remember the date well!!(nov.10,1975)..i was a dumb kid at 21 years old and thought it would be a great day to duck hunt...i got out about 2 miles off shore and was sneaking up on some ducks...looked at those big waves and thought i better head back...started to head in and the waves were going over the front of my duck boat...turned around and headed to strawberry island...i was towing my duck boat and it turned over (the waves were so big the boat was surfing)got slack in the rope and turned over...:dizzy: i think the waves were every bit of 7 foot...the duck boat stuck to the bottom like an anchor...i floored my tow boat(19ft.jet boat)and it broke off the cleat(i thank god for that)i had to go up the north channel and park my for the night..went out the next day and never did find my duck boat...did'nt care, just glad to be alive...i learned to respect the winds and the waves that day...:bash: and thats why i remember that day so well...:o

And on Lake Huron last night. It must be a rough ride. Many of the boats I saw by the SC Light yesterday were full.

WEST GALES TO 45 KNOTS...BECOMING NORTHWEST WITH STORM
FORCE GUSTS TO 55 KNOTS...BECOMING WEST 30 KNOTS TOWARD DAYBREAK.
RAIN SHOWERS UNTIL AROUND MIDNIGHT. WAVES 8 TO 12 FEET...BUILDING
TO 12 TO 18 FEET UNTIL MIDNIGHT...THEN SUBSIDING TO 10 TO 14 FEET
TOWARD DAYBREAK.

I wonder what the Lake (Huron) looks like along the Bruce Penninsula? Those waves must be really crashing that shoreline!
