Anyone getting any Pike? I am off work next week and if we don't get any rain I won't even bother for Steelhead on the Huron. The last pike I caught was 24" one about a month ago now on a red and white daredevil but I haven't had much luck the last couple weeks. Anyone getting them on anything else? I'll probably just fish the Huron up in Washtenaw county or maybe even try a lake in the area. Any suggestions?

Have been catching a few on Orchard Lake in Oakland county, On the 5-7 foot flats throwing 1/2 oz spinnerbaits. Also picked up a 21" smally. Going back today.

Learjetboy, how, in your right mind (or wrong mind?) can you have that Avatar and root for the Buckeyes in Ann Arbor? That's reason enough for the cheerleading squad to hunt you down and kick you!! LOL!!! You are a daring man being a phuckeye fan in that town. Lived there for 3 years... best time of my life... but I was going to school there and was, and always will be, a Michigan Man.
Go Blue!
I did fish the Huron north of town a few times while I was there. Both above and below the dam on Huron River Parkway... but had no luck at all. I don't think I caught a single fish the entire time I lived in A2.
Find the last of the green weeds in the lake, preferably milfoil. The pike will be there.

I know exactly where some of those weeds are so I will try it there. I have been stuck down here in Brownsville, TX for like 5 days and I am finally coming home tonight. I am pumped to go fishing and I'll go for some Pike and Steelhead. Hey, the cheerleaders can hunt me down anytime they want, not the guys of course. I live right in a little bubble of Buckeye fans in my neighborhood and we are spreading, one of them used to be a Buckeye cheerleader;) . I didn't catch any fish in A2 for the first couple of years I lived here, but this year has been stellar. I've had a bunch of large Pike on and managed to land a 30" and 24" one and caught a whole bunch of great looking smallmouth this year, some on a fly rod which is a blast. If all goes well, I'll be out there every day this week, I need it.
