went out scouting for ducks and noticed an unusual number of people fishing off the shore there... mainly close to the mouth of the captains cove marina... any thoughts on what the where fishing for? pm if need be... oh and two older black gents had extreamly heavy rods... ones comparable to my salmon rods... musky? doubtful. just what they have i guess? ur thoughts? i asked but the guys voice was so raspy and mummbled i just said oh i see shook my head thanked them wished em luck and returned to my truck.

Last I heard they were getting bass off there. Not sure why they had meat sticks....I know they get some nice cats in the summer. Might pick up a ski out there, pretty low odds though.

The Crappie and gill's move into the marinas in the late fall. Hit and miss on the perch, They will follow a school of minnows into the marina and canals from time to time but normally don't stay in large numbers.

I don't know about not worth it? I'd like to be the first one to hit the big gills and crappie pre ice.
